Operational Assistance Grant Fund

Murex Investments I, L.P., is able to match each dollar of investment with up to 30 cents of technical consulting services ("Operational Assistance") at no cost to the portfolio company. This unusual resource comes from a pool of $3.3 million in grant funds comprised of matching funds from the Small Business Administration's New Markets Venture Capital program and private and public grant sources. Typical Operational Assistance consists of business development efforts such as management recruiting, developing marketing plans, creating Internet capability, or any other technical service that creates or enhances the production or distribution of products or services. The goal of Operational Assistance is to provide the recipient company with business support that will have a continuing benefit for the company, its shareholders, employees and community.
