Management Team
James A. Jaffe, Managing General Partner,
oversees all Murex activities. Prior to joining Murex, Mr. Jaffe
spent nine years investing equity and lending money to small
businesses in the emerging economies of Macedonia, Ukraine,
the Philippines and Croatia. He was Senior Vice President of
SEAF, a $150 million international equity fund, and general
partner in a venture capital fi rm with IRRs exceeding 35% on
investments of $17.9 million. His extensive operational experience
../includes 25 years as President / CEO of six different public
and private companies with revenues up to $200,000,000.
Joel Steiker, Partner, has led all Murex investing,
Operational Assistance, and CDFI activities since 1998. Mr.
Steiker has more than 17 years experience lending and investing
in middle-market and small leveraged transactions in both traditional
and high-tech industries, with particular expertise in ESOPs.
Mr. Steiker is the principal architect of the SBA-licensed Murex
Investments I, L.P.
Jacob Gray, Partner,
has developed and secured more than $18 million in capital sources for Murex
since 1999. He is involved in deal sourcing, assessment and strategic planning for Murex. He previously
helped some of the region’s largest and fastest-growing public/private and nonprofit ventures grow through
comprehensive strategy, public-policy analysis, investor relations, and marketing.
Alan Boon, CFO, brings more than 25 years of broad-based
financial management experience in large business environments.
Acknowledged for management skills and the ability to resolve
financial problems by maximizing profitability and working capital,
Mr. Boon has held positions of financial responsibility in large
companies including Williams Metals and Welding Alloys, L3 Communications
Corp., BAE Tracor, Inc., and others.
Geoffrey Campen, Associate, has
broad experience working in community development financial
institutions in Philadelphia, Latin America and with socially
responsible investors. He received his MBA from Temple University’s
Fox School of Business and Management.
Munish Suri, Associate, brings
a broad array of experiences in the areas of product and business
development. He received his MBA from Temple University's Fox
School of Business and Management and a BS from Carnegie Mellon
University.
